Invergordon Church of Scotland...  What we Believe

Invergordon Parish Church is a congregation of the Church of Scotland

At the heart of everything is our faith in Jesus Christ, true God and true man, the only Saviour.  He died as a sacrifice for sin, rose from the dead, rules over all, works in us by his Word and Spirit, and will come again in judgment.  The Church exists to tell the world this good news about Jesus.  We believe that the Bible is the word of God.  The Bible provides our guide to daily living and this is why it is read in church and the minister preaches from it.

In doctrine, the Bible is the supreme standard and theWestminster Confession of Faith is the subordinate standard.  The Shorter Catechism, the Apostles' Creed and the Nicene Creed are also expressions of the statements of Christianity.

The mission statement of Invergordon Church of Scotland is:

Through worship, prayer and Christ-like living we try to be a welcoming, caring fellowship for all age groups of this community, committed to faithfully communicating the life-changing love of God.
